John W Dick

John W Dick - Non-executive Chairman and Director of O3b

Mr Dick is also a Director and member of the Audit Committee of Liberty Global, Inc (LGI) (NASDAQ:LBTYA) and has held these positions since its inception in 2005. Mr. Dick served as a director of UnitedGlobalCom, Inc. (UGC) from 2003 to 2005, , and prior to that was a director of United Pan European Cable (UPC) based in the Netherlands. He has served as a director and executive officer of various communications, development and manufacturing companies based in a number of countries including the United States, Canada, China, Europe, Africa, Russia and Australia. Until December 2007, he was the non-executive Chairman and a Director for over 25 years of Hooper Industries Group, a privately held UK group consisting of Hooper and Co (Coachbuilders) Ltd (building special bodied Rolls Royce and Bentley motorcars since 1907); Hooper Industries (China) (providing industrial products and components to Europe and the United States); and MetroCab UK (builders of the London Taxis). In addition, Mr. Dick was a director and non-executive Chairman of Terracom Broadband, (an African fiber optic company), and a Director and non-executive Chairman of Rwandatel (the national telecommunications company for Rwanda) until the sale of those companies in 2007. Mr. Dick is also a Director and member of the Audit Committee of Austar United Communications Ltd. (AUSTAR) an Australian public company. Mr. Dick earned a Bachelor's Degree from Wheaton College (Illinois), majoring in political science and economics and also earned a LL.B from University of Toronto School of Law.

Romain Bausch

Romain Bausch - President and CEO, SES

Following a career in the Luxembourg civil service (Ministry of Finance), which included the post of Administrator General of the Luxembourg Ministry of Finance, Mr Bausch became Director General and the Chairman of the Management Committee, of SES in 1995. In July 2001, he was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of SES. He graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Nancy and holds an honorary doctorate from the Sacred Heart University in Luxembourg.

Andrew Browne

Andrew Browne - Chief Financial Officer, SES

Born 4th June 1955, Mr Browne held CFO and board positions at a number of global companies and organizations, specializing in the telecommunications and high technology sectors. , Mr Browne was the CFO of Intelsat from 1995-98, and subsequently at New Skies Satellites following the company's spin-off from Intelsat in which Mr Browne played a significant role. Mr Browne was CFO at SES NEW SKIES until 2008. He also served as acting CEO for the completion of the integration process into the SES group. Since then, Mr Browne has held a number of Board and advisory positions with a number of companies, most recently as Chairman of Tom Tom, the Dutch satellite navigation company. Mr Browne's earlier career has included senior financial positions at Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) in California and the Development Bank of Ireland. He holds an MBA, International Business and Finance from Trinity College, Dublin, and is a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Ireland (CPA).

Gerson Souto

Gerson Souto - Chief Development Officer, SES

Gerson leads the Development Office of SES and is responsible for Corporate Development (Strategy, M&A), Business Development and investigating new ventures outside the core FSS business (Product Diversification), as well as Spectrum Management & Development and providing a single view on a global satellite fleet via an integrated Fleet Development & Yield Management function. , He joined SES in 1998 and amongst other functions, in 2007, was on the Management Committee of SES NEW SKIES, and as of 2009 was on the Management Team integrating SES Americom and SES NEW SKIES into a combined entity, SES WORLD SKIES, before becoming the Chief Development Officer of SES in 2011. Previously Gerson worked at Intelsat and prior to that, he worked as an engineer at Embratel, a Brazilian telecommunications long distance carrier. Gerson holds an MBA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C., an MA in Telecommunication Systems from the Pontifical Catholic University in Brazil, and a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from the Federal Fluminense University in Brazil.

Christophe De Hauwer

Christophe De Hauwer - VP Strategic Market Development SES Luxembourg

Under Christophe De Hauwer, the Strategic Market Development team is responsible for monitoring and assessing important market developments, as well as identifying, evaluating, recommending and implementing potential investment and acquisition opportunities for SES. , Since 2003, Mr. De Hauwer and his team have played a crucial role in a number of major transactions for SES, including the New Skies acquisition in 2005, and the €1.2 billion redemption transaction with GE, from whom SES acquired AMERICOM in 2001. Most recently, De Hauwer's team played a leading role in the evaluation and negotiations that led to SES' decision to make a large investment in O3b Networks, in November 2009. From 1998 to 2003, Mr. De Hauwer was a consultant at Arthur Andersen, specializing in the European telecommunications and media industries. Mr. De Hauwer holds a Ph.D. in Engineering.

Martin Halliwell

Martin Halliwell - President and CEO SES Engineering S.A

Martin Halliwell, born on 20 April 1959, appointed President and Chief Executive Officer, of the newly created SES Engineering S.A. as of 01 January 2008. He is responsible for all engineering activities within SES in particular, satellite procurement and operations along with the associated ground infrastructure. SES Engineering has 360 employees, operates 43 satellites and has 12 more under construction. Prior to this assignment, Martin Halliwell held the position of SVP and Chief Technology Officer at SES ASTRA S.A. where he was responsible for all engineering and operation activities within SES ASTRA, leading a Technical Department of 189 experts operating 15 satellites. Martin Halliwell launched his career at SES ASTRA in 1987 with responsibility for implementing the ASTRA Network Operation Centre. He then gained further experience within the SES Technical Department becoming Deputy to the Technical Director. In 1997, Martin Halliwell was appointed Technical Director of SES Multimedia and a year later became General Manager Global Multimedia Networks until his appointment to SVP and CTO with SES ASTRA in January 2002. Martin Halliwell also serves as Member of the Board of Director within various affiliates of the SES group. Martin is British and holds a BA in Mathematics and Mechanical Engineering and an MBA specializing in the external environment and strategic management. Prior to joining SES ASTRA, Martin Halliwell worked for Cable & Wireless on the company's Foreign Service Engineering staff until 1985 when he took the position of Senior Project Engineer with Mercury Communications.

Sajjad Sabur

Sajjad Sabur - Head of Principal Investments, HSBC

Sajjad is a Head of Principal Investments in HSBC's emerging market investment business specifically responsible for direct equity investments across Africa. He joined HSBC in 2005 bringing with him over 12 years of investment banking experience, . During his career, he has acted as financial adviser, senior lender, mezzanine lender and equity investor to transactions totaling over USD7.5bn across a variety of sectors and geographies. In addition to his investment activity at HSBC, he was instrumental in establishing the Middle East and North Africa Infrastructure Fund (MENA Infrastructure Fund). Prior to joining HSBC, Sajjad worked at SG, CIT Structured Finance and Hambros Bank where he began his career. He read Economics BA (Hons), is a qualified accountant and holds a MBA from the London Business School. Sajjad serves on a number of Board of Directors including New Forest Company Uganda and is also School Governor for Stockwell Park High School.

Richard Cole

Richard Cole - Global Head of Principal Investments & Private Equity

Richard joined the HSBC Group in 1980 having trained as an accountant with Ford of Europe. Since 1984 he has undertaken a variety of roles in the Project and Export Finance business with particular emphasis on infrastructure in Asia and the Middle East, . Between 1989 and 1992 he was resident Director of the Group's Moscow office. He returned to the PEF business in 1992 and was appointed a Director of Samuel Montagu & Co. (HSBC Group) with global responsibility for Export Finance. In 1998 he became a Managing Director in HSBC Investment Bank responsible for global origination of Project and Export Finance and in 2003 he was appointed Chief Executive of the Global Project and Export Finance business. Under his direction HSBC achieved a leadership position in Infrastructure on a global basis having been ranked as Global No.1 Adviser by Dealogic and Advisor of the year by Thomson PFI for 2005 and 2007 and Global Adviser of the Year 2006 by Infrastructure Journal. In 2007 he helped establish MENA Infrastructure Fund based in Dubai of which he remains a Director. At the same time he was appointed Head of Emerging Markets, Principal Investments with additional responsibility for the UK Private Equity team. In May 2008 he was appointed Global Head of Principal Investments and Private Equity.

John H. Gowen

John H. Gowen - Vice President, LGI Ventures

John Gowen co-manages LGI Ventures, a global investment fund owned by Liberty Global, the leading international cable operator. Liberty Global has 27.5 million video, voice, and broadband internet subscribers, operations in 14 countries, and approximately $9 billion of annualized revenue, as of September 30, 2010. Mr. Gowen is a 15-year veteran of the international telecommunications and media industry. Mr. Gowen holds a B.S. in Commerce from the McIntire School at the University of Virginia. He lives in Denver with his wife and three young sons.

Victor Casier

Victor Casier - Senior Investment Manager, Sofina

Senior Investment Manager at Sofina S.A., Belgium. Victor's responsibilities include minority investments in European private or public companies as well as investments in Private Equity funds in France, Benelux, Germany and Spain, . Before Sofina, Victor Casier worked with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and e-Logistics solution provider Transwide Ltd. Victor graduated as a commercial engineer from Université Catholique de Louvain and holds a MBA from the University of Chicago.

Moez Daya

Moez Daya - Managing Partner, Satya Capital

Moez Daya has been a Managing Partner at Satya Capital since 2008, prior to joining Satya Capital he was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technical Officer at Celtel international (now Zain Africa), . Mr Daya's previous experience includes positions as an executive engineer at BT Mobile, as an Executive Director and Head of the cellular planning group at Cellnet (now O2). Mr Daya was also one of the founders of MSI Plc and Product Director of MSI's flagship software product (Planet) before joining Celtel. He has a BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bath University.

Larry Alder

Larry Alder - Co-Leader Alternative Access Group, Google

Larry joined Google in 2005 is currently co-leader of Google's Alternative Access Group. The group is responsible for a number of product, policy and strategic investment activities promoting internet access, . Larry is a core team member for Google's Municipal Wifi Network and Google's fiber to the home initiative. He has focused on a number of spectrum policy initiatives, including openness provisions in the 700MHz band and the opening up of TV white spaces for wireless internet uses. Additionally, he is involved with several of Google's strategic investments in the access area including WiFi, satellite, and 4G networking companies. Larry sits on the board of Joint Venture Silicon Valley. Prior to joining Google, he spent 10 years at ArrayComm, including the role of VP of Technology Development. Larry has a PhD in Engineering from Stanford University in the specialty of Control Theory.

Jamie Goldstein

Jamie Goldstein - Partner, North Bridge Venture Partners

Jamie Goldstein joined North Bridge Venture Partners in 1998. Prior to joining North Bridge, Jamie co-founded PureSpeech, a venture-backed speech recognition software and applications company targeting service providers and enterprise call centers, . Jamie served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, driving revenue through OEM relationships with leading PC manufacturers and voice services platform providers. PureSpeech was acquired by Voice Control Systems (NASDAQ: VCSI) and subsequently sold to Scansoft (NASDAQ: SSFT).

Paul A. Gould

Paul A. Gould - Managing Director of Allen and Company

Mr. Gould has worked for Allen & Company since 1972 and established Allen & Company's arbitrage business in 1975. In addition to the Fund, Mr. Gould has been involved in Allen & Company's merger and acquisition advisory practice, where he has served as a financial advisor to many Fortune 500 corporations. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Liberty Media Corporation, Liberty Global, Inc., Discovery Holding Company, and Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation. Mr. Gould also serves on the Board of Trustees of Cornell University, The New School for Social Research and the Wildlife Conservation Society. Mr. Gould attended Cornell University and graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University.
